The piece is faithful to the original score, but uses jazz language and rock sonorities which at times suggest the progressive rock version by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. It is a musical journey that moves in parallel fashion between the musical languages of classical, jazz and rock.
The band includes renowned Italian jazz musicians : Michele Carrabba on tenor sax, soprano, baritone and bass clarinet, Pietro Condorelli on guitar, Massimo Manzi on drums, and Vito Di Modugno on Hammond organ, piano, electric piano, electric bass and double bass.
